AVAILABLE SCHEDULES:
Monday–Friday | Choose from the following shifts:
  • 7:15 AM – 12:45 PM (27.5 hours/week).
  • 12:15 PM – 5:45 PM (27.5 hours/week).
  • 7:15 AM – 3:45 PM (40 hours/week).
  • 9:15 AM – 5:45 PM (40 hours/week).

PAY RATES:
  • High School Student Assistants: $18.00/hour.
  • Assistant Teachers: Starting at $18.50/hour (based on education and experience).

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Grace Beginnings Academy Infant Assistant Teacher is passionate about caring for young learners in a Christ-centered environment. The ideal candidate works collaboratively with the lead teacher and supports each child’s growth in physical, social-emotional, cognitive, and spiritual development. This role helps implement Christ-centered lessons and activities rooted in play and exploration.
  • Support the educational experiences in the classroom as directed by the classroom teacher.
  • Assist in completing daily activity documentation and incident/behavior reports as directed by the classroom teacher.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with the classroom teacher to support daily routines, classroom management, and the overall learning environment.
  • Assist the classroom teacher in maintaining a safe, clean, organized classroom, and take responsibility for completing the duties required to keep the facility orderly.
  • Assist in prepping learning materials as directed by the classroom teacher.
  • Approach behavioral issues that arise with children with Christ-centered love, respect and patience.
  • Foster positive relationships with parents at drop-off or pick-up.
  • Facilitate the classroom routines and activities when the classroom teacher is absent.
  • Attend all required training and staff meetings throughout the year.
  • Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is essential for this position.
  • Maintain licensing compliance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

PROFESSIONAL AND SPIRITUAL EXPECTATIONS
  • Educational requirements: High School Diploma required.
  • Experience required: Must meet licensing requirements for an assistant
  • Has a commitment to prayer, as evidenced in both corporate and personal prayer.
  • Exhibits a meaningful and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as evidenced by the manifestation of the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
