KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Young Adult Ministry Assistant will support the Young Adult Director and Associate staff by developing, maintaining, and executing the operational systems of The Co. This role exists to provide administrative support, coordinate ministry processes, and ensure ministry initiatives are carried out with excellence.
Specifically, the Ministry Assistant will divide their time among four primary areas: ministry operations, event and program support, systems and process management, and administrative support.
Ministry Operations:
- Manage and maintain the operational systems that support The Co.
- Coordinate ministry calendars, timelines, planning documents, and project workflows.
- Oversee ministry databases, attendance records, leader rosters, and engagement tracking through Planning Center, Church Community Builder (CCB), and other ministry management systems.
- Coordinate facility reservations, room requests, and scheduling needs in partnership with church departments.
- Ensure ministry records, communication systems, and organizational resources remain accurate, current, and accessible.
- Support ministry staff and leaders through effective administrative and operational organization.
Event and Program Support:
- Assist in planning and executing weekly gatherings, retreats, conferences, outreach opportunities, and special events.
- Coordinate registrations, event logistics, communication, materials, and operational details.
- Ensure ministry events are organized, prepared, and executed with excellence and attention to detail.
- Support volunteer teams by ensuring they have the information, resources, and materials needed to serve effectively.
- Will ensure effective management of connections and assimilation in support of the YA associate staff.
Systems and Process Management:
- Develop, implement, and improve systems that support ministry growth, effectiveness, and scalability.
- Create and maintain workflows that support guest follow-up, volunteer engagement, leader development, event execution, and ministry communication.
- Identify operational challenges and proactively recommend solutions that improve efficiency and organization.
- Maintain operational consistency across ministry environments and initiatives.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the Young Adult Director and Associate staff to execute ministry vision and strategy.
- Partner with Communications, Facilities, Production, Public Safety, and other church departments to support ministry initiatives.
- Contribute to a culture of excellence, hospitality, organization, and teamwork.
- Assist in creating ministry environments that help young adults connect, grow, and engage in the life of the church.
- Any other work assigned by Supervisor.
PROFESSIONAL AND SPIRITUAL EXPECTATIONS:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Experience: 2+ years preferred
- A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a vital, growing personal relationship with Him that meets all qualifications for leadership referenced in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1 (except as a female, married or single).
- Exhibit a meaningful and growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as evidenced by the manifestation of the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
- Commitment to personal and active participation in the fulfillment of the Great Commission.
